Methodology Notes

The AIDS case definition is provided by the CDC. The data are based on the CDC adult HIV/AIDS confidential case report, Form 50.42A, Rev. 3/2007.

Description of Changes Since the Healthy People 2020 Launch

The original baseline was revised from 11,110 to 10,582. The target was adjusted from 10,000 to 9,524 to reflect the revised baseline using the original target-setting method.
