: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) awards the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cooperative Agreement to 62 states, territories, and directly funded localities. The Outcome Monitoring and Evaluation Branch (OMEB) within the Division of State and Local Readiness in the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response develops measures of performance, collects data, and reports on a variety of capabilities required to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
